Chopard has a long history and is one of the oldest Swiss watch companies. Founded in 1860 when Louis-Ulysse Chopard opened a watch workshop in Sonvilier in the Jura Mountains, Paul Andre from the third generation moved the company’s headquarters to Geneva in 1937 to expand the business. In 1963, Karl Scheufele, a prestigious German jeweller, took over management of the brand, and from then on, Chopard began its history as a jewellery watch brand that marries watchmaking technology with a jewellery brand.
