From the moment I walked in the door, I noticed how clean and organised everything was—the magazines in the waiting room were neatly displayed, and the tables and floors were spotless. The item I brought in was an older piece that I bought in 2003. However, the staff explained that because it was still in relatively good condition, they could offer a high price for it as there’s a considerable audience for these kinds of older pieces among people who like antiques. The staff at ALLU explained all kinds of things to me, which definitely influenced my decision to sell with them. They told me about how Prada is a brand that follows current trends and that the value of a brand’s items decreases if it starts opening stores in outlet malls and things like that. It was really interesting. I brought a suede Loewe bag to ALLU and ended up having a great time just chatting with the staff. They told me about all kinds of things, like the reasons why a bag’s colour can influence its selling price (black gets higher prices, by the way), how genuine leather will influence the value of an item, and what they thought I could get for some other items I have laying around the house. I was also really impressed by the appraisal process. The staff member who conducted the appraisal put on gloves to handle my item and performed a comprehensive inspection of the bag swiftly and silently—just like a professional. In addition, since I’d inherited the bag from my grandmother, they asked me about when I inherited it, where it had been purchased, and other pertinent information that helped them give me an easy-to-understand, forthright appraisal. The staff at ALLU were a pleasure to deal with and always made me feel comfortable asking questions. I asked them what kind of price a relatively expensive bag bought overseas a long time ago might fetch today, and the staff told me that even if a bag like that was in good condition, it still wouldn’t fetch a high value compared to brand-name items. They explained that brand-name bags could be sold at relatively high prices even if they’re old and that leather bags tend to get better prices in comparison with bags made with other materials, like canvas. I’m glad I got to ask so many questions—I feel better prepared for the next time I come in to request an appraisal. The entire process was incredibly thorough and went smoothly, so all I can say is that I’m really happy with my experience at ALLU!
I found ALLU online and decided to try them out.
I brought a Louis Vuitton bag into ALLU that I had purchased over ten years ago. I had no idea of the current state of the market for this kind of item, but I brought it in any way. The staff at ALLU appraised the bag thoroughly and offered me a price for it after explaining the various factors that decide an item’s value. Although I thought that some parts of the bag needed cleaning, the staff member conducted the appraisal without passing judgement on the less-than-clean parts of the bag and thoroughly inspected the bags interior and exterior. I decided not to sell the bag and took it home with me. Still, the staff assured me that I could bring it back at a later date if I changed my mind (and gave me advice on what I should be aware of in such a situation), so I felt confident that I could easily sell it later if I decided to bring it back in. I should also mention that the store was spotless, and the white undertone gave it a clean, sophisticated atmosphere. While waiting for my appraisal, I couldn’t hear any of the discussions between other customers and staff members, so I felt assured that others wouldn’t overhear my conversation with staff members.

I had a bag and some jewellery appraised at ALLU: I brought in a mix of various items from Hermès and Tiffany, so I thought the appraisal process would take a long time for such an eclectic mix. But the staff member who conducted my appraisal evaluated all the items together and finished the appraisal in a timely manner, which helped me out as I was in a bit of a rush that day. Not only that, but the staff member shared all kinds of techniques on how to appraise brand-name items, which was really helpful. To be honest, I had been hoping to get a better price for my items, but since some of them were tarnished and scratched in places, I understand the price that ALLU gave me makes sense.

I’ve been to several other businesses that specialise in buying customers’ used items, but after my experience at ALLU, I’d rank them as #1 in my book. Yes. Even if you do not have a certificate of authenticity, our experienced Value Designers will carefully and accurately evaluate your items.

Do items with the original box or accessories sell for more?
Yes. If you still have the box or accessories, you are more likely to be offered a higher price if you bring them. If the item is in good condition, you can still sell your items for high prices even if the above accessories are not included.

Can I sell items at or above the retail price?
While some items can be sold at or above retail price, the value of most branded items tends to decrease over time. In many cases, if you no longer use the item, selling it as soon as possible is better to ensure a higher selling price.

Do I need to make an appointment?
Yes. We ask that customers make an appointment via WhatsApp first so we can make sure that the appraisal can go smoothly.

How long does it take for an appraisal at the store?
We estimate 10 to 15 minutes for a single item. It depends on the item and the quantity, so please ask our staff when you visit.
