Sell Your Tanzanite at ALLU

Due to its skyrocketing popularity recently, tanzanite has become familiar to everyday consumers as a staple in the jewellery world. However, even seasoned collectors of this attractive gem may be surprised to find out that rather than having a long history stemming from ancient times, tanzanite was discovered quite recently, 1967, to be exact. If you compare it with the history of other popular gemstones, tanzanite may seem like a latecomer to the jewellery scene, but that doesn’t stop it from standing out.

It was discovered in the eastern African country of Tanzania, where miners searching for rubies stumbled across the eye-catching stone. Though it is technically a type of zoisite, tanzanite offers a dazzling array of deep blues and purples that set it apart from the more well-known varieties of zoisite, which mainly sport shades of pink and green. This rare strand of zoisite was conspicuous enough even to catch the eye of famed American jeweller Tiffany, who christened it tanzanite, the name under which it then began to be sold as a gemstone.

Although its official name is ‘blue zoisite’, this stone is far better known under the popular moniker’ tanzanite’. Taking its name from where it was discovered, tanzanite’s colour resembles the shade of deep blue sky that appears at twilight over Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania’s most famous locale and one of the tallest mountains on earth. This fascinating history has garnered tanzanite attention from collectors all over the globe.

By the 1980s, tanzanite had already succeeded in entering the elite group of popular gemstones, booming in popularity despite its relatively new discovery. One of its standout characteristics is polychromaticity, a natural phenomenon in which the stone’s colour changes depending on the angle at which it is viewed. Although tanzanite’s colour could be summed up in a word as bluish-purple, different viewpoints can strengthen rich blues or highlight radiant purples. Depending on the sample, some tanzanites also exhibit hints of deep red amidst the characteristic purple. It has also been said that tanzanite can redirect negative energy in a positive direction. If you want to sell your tanzanite, please take advantage of our services. We strive to offer the most competitive prices.

I bought a tanzanite gem from a jeweller in Ginza a while ago.

I bought a tanzanite gem from a jeweller in Ginza a while ago. However, I had few opportunities to wear it, so I decided to sell it. ALLU, a company my friend had introduced to me a while ago, came to mind, so I decided to try them out. They provided me with a fast assessment at a reasonably high price, so I was delighted with the transaction. Thank you for the high-priced offer! I will definitely be back again.
