How to Sell Luxury Goods at ALLU
Over its 160 years, Louis Vuitton has become one of the world’s top fashion brands. Among the more than 60 global brands under the LMVH group, Louis Vuitton accounts for a third of total sales. The Damier and Monogram’s distinctive designs are the most popular. Customers, both young and old, can’t resist getting their hands on at least one bag. The Alma, the Zippy Wallet, and the Neverfull are just some of the staple models at Louis Vuitton, and each feature a combination of comfort and durability that lends to years of use. As such, the Louis Vuitton brand is universal, and the gravitas of its products is part of its charm. Below you can find information on famous Louis Vuitton lines and models and the characteristics of each.

Louis Vuitton Monogram
The Monogram line is an iconic symbol of the founder himself, Louis Vuitton. Created by his son, George, following Louis’ death in 1896, Monogram is the brand’s symbol and captures attention. The bag features the initials of the brand, LV, with a vibrant design of cleverly balanced flowers. The pattern rests on PVC-coated canvas, which makes the bag exceptionally durable and water-resistant. The Monogram line also has a number of associated lines, particularly the 2010 Monogram Empreinte, with its refined and casual appeal. On the men’s side, there is the popular wallet model, the Monogram Eclipse.

The Damier line has an alternating beige and brown checkerboard pattern that exudes elegance. Since its inception in 1888, it has been a headlining line. The Damier has been a counterpart to Monogram as the two most popular lines by Louis Vuitton. Its rich variety of colours is one of its selling points. From the 1996 revival of Damier Ebene to the fresh off-white and blue Damier Azur, there is also the masculine Graphite, Infini, and Cobalt. It is clear that the range of colour variations of the Damier line is part of its staying power.

The Epi line is said to have been designed based on the image of wheat stalks swaying in the wind, and it has been loved by many since its first appearance in 1985. A feature of this line is the leather, called Epi leather, which is made from vegetable-tanned calfskin. This leather has a beautiful lustre and a unique, soft texture that draws the eye. Fans on this line are captivated by the way it grows in colour and glow over time. The colour variations in the Epi line are another stand-out feature, and if you were to include derivative and past lines, the number of colours would be in the dozens. The range of items in this line is also considerable, including the Portefeuille, the Alma, the Brea, The Monceau, and the Noe, which spans bags, wallets, coin cases, and more.
Louis Vuitton Taiga
A more recent line, the 1993 Taiga, was the first Louis Vuitton men’s line. Named after the artic biomes of Canada and Russia, a defining characteristic of the line is its high-quality, sturdy leather and detailed embossed designs. The discontinued Acajou and the current Ardoise, Grizzly, Boreal, and Polaire all have cool, muted, and masculine colours that work in any situation. The type of item released under this line is varied as well; outside of standard bags, there are travel bags, tote bags, and shoulder bags.

Birthed from a collaboration between Mark Jacobs and Takashi Murakami, this 2003 line captured attention with its chic, revolutionary design. As implied by the name, the line is characterised by being multicoloured and cute. In 2009 more colour variations were added, and the line eclipsed being a temporary it-bag. Even today, the Multicolor series is a bright spot in Louis Vuitton’s history. Numerous hits were produced in this collection, starting with the progenitor, the Eye Love Monogram and including bags like The Dalmatian, the Teda, the Gracie, and the Satin.

Louis Vuitton Neverfull
The Neverfull is a tote bag boasting large carrying capacities. As its name implies, the Neverfull is never full. On top of that, it has a durable, reinforced Nume leather handle and adjustable depth for excellent functionality. Sold as a part of the Monogram line in 2007, the Neverfull would later appear in the Damier line and in collaboration projects with famous designers. Part of the popularity of the Neverful comes from its selection of sizes which range from having enough space for an everyday outing to weekend trips.

Originally the Speedy was made entirely from Nume leather, but in the 60s, the Monogram canvas version was added. Following that, the Speedy would feature in other lines like Damier, Damier Azur, and Vernis. These bags are captivating in any line with their simple design and added padlock with the engraved LV logo.

Customer Testimonials: Selling Louis Vuitton Items at ALLU

The excellent service from ALLU’s staff put all my worries to rest!
I took my Louis Vuitton Monogram bag to ALLU, and since it was my first time there, I was honestly a little nervous. But the staff member’s prompt appraisal and detailed explanations helped me put all my worries to rest! The person I spoke with on the phone was very polite and answered all my questions. My husband was also very appreciative of the excellent service, so we’re planning to have some other items from his antique collection, as well as some watches, appraised at ALLU. I’m sure we’ll be making a trip to ALLU in the near future—thank you for the excellent experience.
Thank you for selling your Louis Vuitton items at ALLU.
Thank you for visiting our store to sell your Louis Vuitton bag. Thanks to your detailed explanation of your item, we could appraise it quickly and without issue. The Monogram, a bag representative of the Louis Vuitton brand with the unmistakable LV initials embellishing its exterior, was initially released in the late 1800s. It garnered attention thanks to its eye-catching design, which was developed to distinguish it from cheap counterfeits. Ironically, the design is now synonymous with the Louis Vuitton brand, and even those unfamiliar with the brand can still recognise the Monogram as a Louis Vuitton product. This, in turn, has ensured that the Monogram is constantly in great demand in the pre-owned market. Please also give our best regards to your husband—we look forward to your next visit.

I got a higher price than I’d been expecting!
I was a little worried if ALLU would accept all the items I brought in as I had a lot to sell. But they took everything without any problems! I even got a higher price for them than I’d been expecting, which my mother was thrilled about. I have other branded accessories and wallets that I’m thinking of selling, but many of them have signs of use or slight damage, which is why I didn’t bring them in this time. However, the staff at ALLU informed me that they buy damaged items as well, so I’ll definitely be making another trip to ALLU with my mother. I had some great conversations with the staff members while I was there. It was a great experience all around—thank you very much!
Thank you for selling your Louis Vuitton items at ALLU.
Thank you for visiting our store the other day to sell your items despite the bad weather. We really appreciate the many valuable items you brought in. In particular, the Louis Vuitton bag had only minor damage, and since it was a black Monogram, we could offer a high price. We’re happy to hear that you were satisfied with the sale. Louis Vuitton’s famous collections like the Wilshire, Tivoli, Hampstead, Alma, Dentelle, and Damier enjoy steady popularity on the pre-owned market, allowing us to offer consistently high prices for them. As you mentioned, we also appraise and purchase damaged items, so if you have any other pieces that you’d like to sell, feel free to contact us. We’re looking forward to your next visit.
